Color Confinement in Lattice Landau Gauge
نویسنده
چکیده
The problem of color confinement in lattice Landau gauge QCD is briefly reviewed in the light of Kugo-Ojima criterion and Gribov-Zwanziger theory. The infrared properties of the Landau gauge QCD is studied by the measurement of the gluon propagator, ghost propagator, Kugo-Ojima parameter and the running coupling via β = 6.0, 16, 24, 32 and β = 6.4, 32, 48 lattice simulation. The data are analyzed in the principle of minimum sensitivity(PMS) in the M̃OM scheme. We observe the running coupling αs(q) has a maximum about 1 and decreases near q = 0. The Kugo-Ojima parameter, which is expected to be 1 was about 0.8.

Color Confinement and Dynamical Effect of Light Quarks in the Dual Ginzburg-landau Theory
We study nonperturbative features of QCD using the dual Ginzburg-Landau theory. The color confinement is realized through the dual Higgs mechanism, which is brought by QCD-monopole condensation. We investigate the infrared screening effect on the color confinement due to the light-quark pair creation. By solving the Schwinger-Dyson equation, we find that the dynamical chiral-symmetry breaking i...
متن کاملColor Confinement in lattice Landau gauge with unquenched Wilson and KS fermions
The Kugo-Ojima confinement criterion is verified in the unquenched Landau gauge QCD simulation. The valence quark propagator of the Kogut-Susskind fermion with use of the fermion action including the Naik term and the staple contribution is calculated on MILC Asqtad unquenched gauge configurations, and it shows clear evidence of infrared vanishing of the quark propagator.
متن کاملNumerical Tests of the Kugo-ojima Color Confinement Criterion
The Kugo-Ojima color confinement criterion, which is based on the BRST symmetry of QCD is numerically tested by the lattice Landau gauge simulation. We first discuss the BRST symmetry on the lattice and the Gribov copy problem. The horizon function defined by Zwanziger based on the U -linear definition of the gauge field and that based on logU are compared. The parameter u which is expected to ...
متن کاملLandau Gauge QCD : Functional Methods versus Lattice Simulations †
The infrared behaviour of QCD Green’s functions in Landau gauge has been focus of intense study. Different non-perturbative approaches lead to a prediction in line with the conditions for confinement in local quantum field theory as spelled out in the Kugo-Ojima criterion. Detailed comparisons with lattice studies have revealed small but significant differences, however. But aren’t we comparing...
متن کاملHow to extract information from Green’s functions in Landau gauge
The infrared behavior of gluon and ghost propagators offers a crucial test of confinement scenarios in Yang-Mills theories. A nonperturbative study of these propagators from first principles is possible in lattice simulations, but one must consider significantly large lattice sizes in order to approach the infrared limit. We propose constraints based on general properties of the propagators to ...
